Dr. Karen Miller/Owner: Dr. Miller was raised in Charlotte and attended undergraduate and veterinary school in Raleigh. She graduated from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She moved to Lincolnton after graduation and has been practicing at Lincolnton Animal Hospital ever since then. She and her husband, Ron, share their lives with four dogs; Woody, Socks, Bubba, and Smiley, and one cat, Chance. Dr. Miller has a daughter, Caitlin, a step-daughter, Tracy (and step-son-in-law, Calan), and a step-son, Adam. Her hobbies include photography, reading, riding their Harley with her husband, and church activities, including being a Sunday school teacher and choir. Internal medicine (particularly endocrine diseases), dentistry, and especially her relationships with her clients and patients are the best parts of practicing veterinary medicine for Dr. Miller.
Dr. Katy Boger: Dr. Boger is native to North Carolina. She was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and has family roots in Lincoln County. She attended North Carolina State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1993 and her DVM in 2000. After graduation, Dr. Boger moved to Denver, NC. She and her husband, Carl, share their home with a very active Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix named Jodi. Dr. Boger has a strong interest in canine and feline medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. She focuses on preventative care, diagnostics, and client education. In her spare time, Dr. Boger enjoys Carolina Panther football, hiking, trips to the mountains, reading, and spending time with her dog.
Dr. Amy Jones: Dr. Jones grew up in Lincoln County and attended East Lincoln High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UNC-Charlotte in 1991. She graduated from NC State University and received her DVM in 1995. She is married to Dr. Kevin Jones and they have two children, a son and a daughter. Her family also includes three dogs, Henry, Kia and FiFi, and two cats, Wolfgang and Olivia. She enjoys photography, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Rouco: Dr. Rouco received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from East Carolina University. She received her DVM from NC State University in 2007. Upon graduation, she completed a one year rotating small animal medicine, surgery and emergency internship at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, Maryland. After working at a small animal clinic in Maryland, she is happy to be back home in North Carolina. Dr. Rouco enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and has a special interest in ophthalmology.
Dr. Rouco is married to her college sweetheart, George. They have a young son and daughter. The rest of the family includes their dog, Tevia and two cats, Machi and Haley. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, reading and spending time outdoors.
Kathy Cranford, Bookkeeper: Kathy was born and raised in Lincoln County. She joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 1987 as a receptionist. She now handles accounts payable/receivable and payroll. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Roger, children, grandchildren, and cat, Chelsea. Her interests include gardening, cooking, and reading.
Vickie Burgess, Client Director of Administration: Vickie has been in the veterinary field since 1993. She joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2001. She shares her home with her husband, Jack; dog, Reata; and 2 cats, Reggie and Rikki. She shares her property with 3 horses, Jake, Flash, and Perry. She enjoys natural horsemanship and spending time with her horses and Reata.
Lynn Freeman, Coordinator: Lynn has been in the veterinary field since 1996. She joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2011. She has 7 dogs, Milo, Max, Taylor, Wes, Rhyne, China, and Trina; 1 cat, Kitty; and 1 bird, Taco. Lynn loves spending time with her husband, Kerry, 5 children, and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and playing with her pets.
Sharon Patterson, Receptionist: Sharon joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2002. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Larry, and 2 daughters. Sharon enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and playing with her dog, Lucky.
Angela Seagle, Receptionist: Angela has been in the veterinary field since 2005. She joined Lincolnton Animal hospital in 2007. She loves spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding her 4 wheeler. She also loves playing her guitar and singing country music. She has 2 dogs, Daisy and Bandit, and 2 cats, Scooter and Sassy.
Amy Rantanen Amy has been with Lincolnton Animal Hospital since 2012. She is married with 2 children and 3 dogs, Pint, Lucy and Jenny Olivia. She enjoys spending her spare time with her family and pets.
Brittney Clemmer, Receptionist Brittney joined our staff in 2013. She has 3 dogs and 3 horses. She enjoys team roping and spending time with her husband, Michael.
Sandy Luckey, Registered Veterinary Technician/Technician Team Leader: Sandy has been in the veterinary field since 2000. She joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2006. She attended Gaston College Veterinary Technician program and graduated in 2005 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys camping/outdoors, photography, and reading. Sandy has 2 dogs, Peanut and Jack; 4 cats, Bailey, Cuddles, Chloe, and Spooky; 2 fish, Mr. Fish and Oscar; and a ball python, Rico.
Danielle Bingham, Registered Veterinary Technician: Danielle has been in the veterinary field since 2002. She joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2009. She attended Gaston College Veterinary Technician program and graduated in 2004 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Danielle shares her home with her husband, Jay; 2 sons; 3 dogs, Sierra, Marmalade, and Bailey; 2 cats, Hugger and Smudge; and 1 rabbit Sundae.
Chaya Holt, Registered Veterinary Technician: Chaya attended Gaston College Veterinary Technician Program and graduated as a registered veterinary technician in 2009. She joined our staff in 2013. She shares her home with 4 dogs, 2 horses and tank full of fish. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, trail riding, roping, barrel racing, and just spending time with her furry family.
Angela Robbins, Veterinary Assistant: Anglea joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2006. She started in the kennel and is now a veterinary assistant. She has 3 dogs, Harley, Tucker, and Abby, and 3 goats, Spike, B.B., and Bob. She enjoys spending time with her pets as well as her husband, Kevin, family and friends.
Jessica McNelly, Veterinary Assistant: Jessica has been in the veterinary field since 1999. She joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2010. She has 3 dogs, Biggs, Kizzi, and Bella, and 2 cats, Paws and Flapjack. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her 2 children and enjoys outdoor activities especially camping.
Lynsey Wayne, Veterinary Assistant: Lynsey joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2010. She has 2 dogs, Zoee and Zuzu, and 2 horses, Jet and Skeeter. She enjoys barrel racing and rodeo.
Sabrina Harmon, Veterinary Assistant: Sabrina joined our team in 2014, she has been in a veterinary technician for the past 10 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter going to zoos, parks, and shopping.
Kaitlyn Morrison, Kennel Assistant:
Joined Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 2012 and has 4 dogs, Filmore, Fiona, Benji and Midnight. 2 cats, Chloe and Mittens. She enjoys playing the flute and being outdoors.
